The next stop was Washington, D.C. I got a room in a hotel in the College Park area just inside the Beltway and then caught up with Noah the first night and met a couple of his friends. (Noah lives in the northwest part of the city.)

They showed me several art pieces that Noah has done in the recent past. A couple of them are pictured below.

The next day, I took the Metro subway into the city (which turned out to be really, really convenient) in the morning and did the tourist thing:
