Stacey and I drove down on Friday, the 17th, to Sharpsburg from Doylestown with Kelsie and Jamie. Dave had to work and was going to drive down the next day. We got to Sharpsburg a little after 3 pm only to discover that the slip and slide was already out. Nico and Leigh were already there, having drove down from Boston earlier.

Unfortunately, shortly after we gave the slip and slide a thorough check out, Jamie had a bad fall and she had to go to the hospital. Considering how hard she fell, we were all relieved that she escaped with a concussion and a few bruises here and there. Still, it was a shock and there were some bad moments overnight. It was decided that it would be safer for Jamie to relax at home; Dave drove out overnight to pick up Stacey, Kelsie, and Jamie and they went home Saturday morning.
I think things were a bit muted in the wake of all that. Justin and Carla arrived a little while after Jamie's fall and then Noah and Kelly arrived Saturday afternoon. We ended up floating down the river on Saturday afternoon; despite the temperature being unseasonably comfortable and it being a little chilly, we still had fun. And there was this game we played on Friday and Saturday nights...
