On my way home from Florida after the space shuttle launch in May, I stopped home to see my parents. There's been a lot of visits this year and this one was slightly unexpected, but one of my aunts from Thailand was visiting and I hadn't seen her in almost fifteen years:

So I traded the Florida sea-breeze for the California on-shore flow. From hot and sticky (which had its advantages) to warm and dry. Much more comfortable, but fewer space ships. The main entertainment was Zak in the car:


On my way back to Oregon, I caught a couple of glimpses of Rogers Dry Lake -- location of Edwards Air Force Base:
